Random things Ad remembers!!

Hi everyone!! After reading Brooke's list it made me think of a few things too. . . she told me that I needed to write them down in a post, so here it is!! Hopefully you will remember a few of these things too!! Love ya, Adrian (AKA, ADBUG!)

1. Making "beds" or "tents" out of the big, wooden dining room chairs...2 facing each other for each one with pillows & blankets inside & blankets over the top! (The chairs with the arm rests worked best & were the ones ALL of us wanted!!)
2. Sitting on the counter in the bathroom watching Grandpa M shave & having him snap his dentures at me or put shaving cream on my nose!
3. Going to see the ostriches at the Dobson's house!
4. Freezing our little tushes off going Christmas Caroling!! (We all grumbled, but we all loved it too!!--at least for a while!!) Arguing over who got to give the neighbor the gift...we all thought it was our turn EVERY time!!
5. Writing & drawing on the sheetrock downstairs before the basement was finished...& skating & skateboarding down there too!!!
6. Going to watch Natalie play volleyball or basketball...I thought I was SOO special when I got to go alone with Mom & Dad. We'd go eat at Taco Time--YUMMY!! It was always my favorite place to eat!!
7. I remember going to the car during one such game to get something...after the game we realized that the car keys were missing. We looked EVERYWHERE & Dad was getting REALLY mad! We slowly made it back to the car & found the keys IN THE KEYHOLE in the car!! I was so relieved to see them, but I felt SOO dumb!!
8. Wearing Midnight the cat around my neck like a mink fur!! I can't believe she would just sit there on my shoulders!
9. Sleepovers on the tramp with Marci & Tanis...singing some Mickey & Minney song & dancing around!
10. Laying on the tramp looking at the clouds or watching for shooting stars.
11. Watching Courtney throw a ball over the house playing "Annie-I-Over".
12. Playing a game where we'd each be a colored egg & the wolf (I think) would try to guess our colors & then if he DID guess it we'd have to race around the yard & get back to the stairs first!
13. Decorating our bikes for the Pioneer Day Parade...it was the BEST parade ever!
14. Prank phone calls at AnaLisa & Caroline's house...we'd call 1-800 #'s & pretend to be ANYONE but ourselves...I can't believe I was brave enough to do that with my phone phobia!
(Mom, I bet you didn't know that one!)
15. Changing sprinklers with Natalie & being SOO scared that they were going to blow away one day when the wind picked up right after we'd emptied all the water out! She went & got someone to help us & we were able to get it moved & hooked back up ok, but it was VERY scary!
16. Being surrounded by a HUGE swarm of bees while I was cutting hay one day...I SERIOUSLY thought they were going to come through the vents & it scared me to death!! There were SO many bees that I stopped the swather & they surrounded it COMPLETELY!
17. Being grounded because we went to look for Joni when she was "missing"...Mom told us to stay home while she went & looked & we decided to go look up in the trees up by the pond instead. When we got back they'd found her in bed under the covers & we were grounded!! I think it was me, Brooke & Phil who went looking 'cause I remember watching Natalie & Courtney playing in the backyard that night & being so jealous that they could play & we couldn't.
18. Decorating the church playground with the pinkish/redish flowers from the church tree! We'd stick a little bunch of them out of EVERY hole in the playground!! We thought it looked SO beautiful!!
19. Going ice fishing & getting SOO sunburned! Being told that I "sleep-talked" on the way home, but really being awake--I SWEAR I was!! hehehe
20. Putting our pajama pants on "knee first" instead of "feet first" & then walking around on our hands & knes!!
21. The Christmas Eve when we got smoked out of the basement & all of us kids had to sleep together in the room by Mom & Dad's!! I LOVED IT!
22. Having the hydraulic hoses pulled out of the truck when we were bagging hay at the Kesler's house...not once, but a FEW times at least. & having Jim take the blame for me 'cause I was SOO scared that I'd be in SUCH BIG TROUBLE! (Yes, Dad--it was always me...what a guy for Jim to take the blame!)
23. Making a contract for me & Brooke to clean our room EVERYDAY--& making Brooke sign it, of course! (Jim found it oneday when he was here & thought it was HILARIOUS!! He still reminds me about it almost everytime I see him!)
24. Being THROWN up onto the top bunk by Natalie & Sandy (I THINK) because I wouldn't go to bed one night when Sandy was babysitting. . . I didn't think they EVER would really do that in a MILLION YEARS! I was wrong! It was SOO SCARY!
25. Looking for nuts or bolts or screws or ANYTHING in that big, white trailer on the farm & being SURE that I was catching the HANTA VIRUS while I was in there!
26. Courtney sitting on us with our arms pinned down to our sides & having him tickle us to death or tap on our forehead until we'd go CRAZY!!
27. Breaking my arm because of that STUPID boy that ran into me with his bike...not going to the Dr. for a few days because I didn't ever cry about it so Mom & Dad didn't think it was really broken.
28. Coloring my cast BLACK because I was SOOO sick of it!!
29. Missing the 6th grade water fight because of my broken elbow!
30. Getting to eat YUMMY soup at Aunt Chris's--also because of my broken elbow (but BEFORE I'd even gone to the Dr.)
31. Telling Natalie I couldn't hold onto the trapeze bar any longer & having her say, "Yes, you can!" with one final PUSH just as I FLEW off & broke my wrist!!
32. I remember learning to drive in the blue suburban when I was 8 (AAAAAAH!!!) .Dad told me NOT to push on the gas because he said that the field we were in would make me go fast enough by itself. (He was going to FOLLOW me in another car.) Pretty soon I was going TOO fast (even though I REALLY didn't push on the gas) & didn't know what to do! Dad came FLYING around me looking FURIOUS & waved for me to STOP!!! I DID--he didn't believe that I hadn't pushed on the gas, but seriously would I have DARED to do that on purpose?!?!?
33. Failing my swimming class because I didn't dare jump off of the high dive...grrr! I was a good swimmer--I SHOULD have passed!!
34. Running through the sprinklers or putting the sprinkler under the tramp!! Good times!!
35. Being an elf in the Christmas Program in 5th or 6th grade!!
36. Practicing "walks" down the streets in Holden during nights when we couldn't think of anything else to do!!
37. Me & Suzanne Stevens running down to JoAnne's house while being chased--by a SKUNK!!
38. Toilet papering Cody Turner's house -- while we were sleeping at his house for a Young Women's Activity...AND coming back the next day to clean it up!!
39. Going to the res. Do you remember that HUGE potatoe that was stolen by Delta kids from Triple C floating in the water there?? TOO FUNNY!!
40. Staying at Grandma M's house during State Wrestling!! We had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
41. Going to the haunted house at 7 peaks...me & AnaLisa & Nicole rolled down the hill afterwards & were yelled at by someone!! The woman pulled up to us in an "official circle" car (or at least, that's what WE called it!) & told us that there were TWO reasons why we shouldn't do that...#1 was that people lived there...then she couldn't think of anything for #2. We told her we were sorry & then laughed our HEADS off when we got back to our car!!
42. Getting a lecture on "what a felony is" TWICE by a police officer as we tried to return the orange cone that had been stolen. Nicole told us right before he got there that she was afraid that she was going to laugh 'cause she would do that sometimes when people were getting mad at her...she just couldn't help it. The WHOLE time he talked to us we were all trying SOOOO hard not to laugh...He gave Nicole the lecture (since she was in the driver seat) & then turned to the rest of us & asked us if we'd heard him. We told him yes, but he proceeded to repeat the ENTIRE lecture! When he left we waited until he was in his car & driving away & then we LAUGHED & LAUGHED...& LAUGHED--probably harder than I've EVER laughed in my whole life...it was SOOOO HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
43. Being "trapped" up on the roof 'cause I was too scared to jump off, then getting caught 'cause I waited too long before jumping after Mom got home!!
44. Racing our bikes around the block!
45. Courtney saying he was allergic to the "cow smell" over by the Stevens's place...hehehe
46. Pulling pranks on the people that would come stay at the green house--like collapsing their tents during the night! I don't remember which holiday it was that they'd always come. I must admit, we weren't very nice! =(
47. Riding Blackie (I think with Brooke) & having him decide that he needed to lay down & roll WHILE WE WERE ON HIS BACK!
48. Saving our money & going to Woods Market to buy yogurt or ravioli-o's or penny candies! Man, I miss those little purple & red berry ones...they were good!!
49. Falling over the last hurdle at a track meet in Delta...& NEVER going back to track practice EVER AGAIN.
50. Going to watch Donkey Basketball in the old gym! I thought it was SOO cool that they'd actually RIDE on donkeys to play!!!

That's all I can do for now...it's hurting my back too bad to write anymore! I hope you liked my list!!
