Happy Birthday Dad! Love, Brooke

Today is Dad's birthday! First of all, Happy Birthday Dad. I love you very much. It was great seeing you yesterday and spending a little time with you. I hope you have had a good day!

10 Random Reasons why you were a great Dad:

#1: You always expected a lot from us growing up. It wasn't always easy living up to your expectations. You demanded perfection from us, and we all learned perseverance.

#2: You taught us to have a great work ethic. This is a great gift and I hope you know it. Although we are all very different, we all learned that work is an important, vital part of life.

#3: You taught us the gospel. I remember getting up SOOOO early to read the scriptures in the mornings. We also had family home evening. Ya know, when it's all said and done, this is the most important part of life.

#4: You supported us. I can honestly say that you and mom supported us in everything that we did. You were ALWAYS there cheering us on, and you traveled all over Utah to be there for us.

#5: You are a great cook. I remember eating some DELICIOUS meals when you were in charge of dinner. For example, chicken fried rice, pork chops and potatoes, stew, and scrambled eggs with hash browns!

#6: You worked hard for us. I know that owning the farm was extremely stressful, and I know you worked extremely hard to provide for us. Thank you.

#7: You are extremely competitive. If you haven't noticed, you passed this on to most of us. I remember you and Courtney arm-wrestling and you and Philip racing at the church on the lawn. We always had/have fun playing games with you.

#8: You always knew how to fix EVERYTHING. You have a gift of knowing how to fix things.

#9: Not only did you support us, but you let us be involved. I loved being involved with sports and then drill team and track. It was fun, and not every kid got to be involved with whatever they chose.

#10: You taught us that doing things yourself is a much cheaper way. I remember you always had Mom cut your hair, you fixed your own vehicles, you built your own addition...with a few slaves helping...:).

I hope you know how much we love you. You are a great Dad.

ATTENTION SIBLINGS: If you don't post something, Dad is going to sit you against the wall until someone admits they drank the Fresca!
